“Have we tumbled over the edge? Have we gone too far past remembering what childhood is about? We must learn to recognize and celebrate the idiosyncrasies and stages of growth of children and how to establish environments that respect childhood.” ~ Bev Bos

Week One...
Week one is just about over for the Foundations course in Early Childhood Studies. What a great group of individuals to work with as each of us works towards our own personal/professional goals. There is such a diverse group of individuals with so much knowledge and life experience that I can already tell I am going to personally learn a lot.

I am learning through this class that we truly are a diverse group of individuals. There are many different experiences and different areas of knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to comment on your quote that you chose. That is the perfect quote for all adults who have forgotten what it's like to be a child.
I posted that quote because, as you said, it is important for adults to remember what it is like to be a child. Also, it is important for us to remember that children need to be allowed to be children not just adults in a much smaller form. I feel that children are being pushed to grow up way too fast in this day and age and we need to just let them be children as they learn and grow.
